The No,Vo’Li’ vineyards saw their day in 2003 to carry on an ambitions task : the making of a superior quality product. Since the very inception of the idea, when the partners gathered together and took the decision to start a company dedicated to the making and the trading of wine products, the target was set to strive for an end result of both noble and refined characteristics. Such option has led to the search and the utilization of rigorously selected land and to the collaboration with experts already well known in the European wine-making milieu. As to now, all these efforts have brought forth two labels which have already gathered much praise as to their quality and their organolectic elements among many expert operators in the field. The earliest trials have corroborated all these efforts. The clients that have been contacted up to now, all of them part of first class hotels and elite restaurants ( same belong to the “Leading Hotels of the World” chain, others to the “Relais et Chateaux” group) have expressed very positive responses, even beyond what had been at first expected. Our wines have now successfully passed the vetting of the “Gambero Rosso” commission and have been included in its 2008 Guide. One label has already achieved to be part of the wine selection exhibited and promoted by the “Enoteca Italiana” of Siena.
Encouraged by such successful reception, a further step was taken which is that of presenting our wines at Vinitaly, the most important italian wine event. One essential result has now been achieved: by creating a niche product, we are finally able to set ourselves free from the oligopoly through which the great producers manage the market of Montepulciano’s wines.
Well aware that it is only from a good soil - the land cultivated is that of the Nobile, in a territory Known throughout the world for both its quality and its scenic beauty.- that an excellent wine can see the light, and that expert hands are needed to follow the evolution of such a product , the partners have thought it wise to entrust such delicate task to Henry Boyer, of great reputation here in Europe and owner, in the Bordeaux and Sauternes region, of three state of the art laboratories for both analysis and consultation. To such remarkable competence, the expertise of Luciano Bandini, President of the CCIAA Commission for the Chianti Classico was also added, as well as that of Roberto Lamorgese, holder of the Chair for Agrarian Sciences in the Istituto Tecnico Agrario of Siena. He supervises with utmost care the agronomic side of our business.
In the continuos striving for a wine likely to satisfy the expectations of the highest end of the market, a most interesting experiment is being undertaken by planting an autochtonous species, dating back to Etruscan times, Known as “fogliatonda”.
A further project is currently also in the making. Its first results will become available towards the late end of this year: a fully organic vineyard, planted on a for away soil, uncontaminated by chemical agents or modern pollutants. Great expectations have been raised by this product, derived mostly from the Sangiovese vine. Its inspiration is found in the tradition of local wines, famous for both their flavour and aroma.
It has now been four years of intense and rewarding activity. Our partnership is even more determined to carry on its project to offer the wine loving public a variety of products of undisputed quality, in the respect of both nature and the environment and, last but not least, the final consumer.
